Spending money in Bali

I’ll be in Bali in October for 4 – 5 days. Flight there and accommodation are sorted out. I’d like to know how much I should budget for. Things like eating out, tours, souvenirs, drinks, watersports etc etc

    it is cheap the price of indonesian good or item. here is for example a day you stay in a high class hotel aproximately about $50 – $300, in middle class hotel only $15 – $50, and in the motels under $10 a day. for food and drink just about $1 – $10 each. So if you eat 3 times a day it means you spend about $3 – $30 a day, public transportation such as city transportation (angkot) just about $0,25 each trip. or taxy depends on how far is it each trip, usually I spend about $2 – $3 each trip. and for all your journey may be aproximately about $500 to have full fun in Bali.
    so the conclusion, may be you got to bring aproximately about $700 – $ 1000 for the travell, and it is enough. for description, $1 = Rp. 9300,-

    don’t forget visit Bangka Belitung islands too, it’s beautiful !

    I always budget the same amount as my hotel accommodation expenses for my food and transpo within the area I am going to. For instance, if the hotel room is $100, then I budget another $100 for eating out, local transpo, and some inexpensive bric a bracs. of course this will not cover expensive items like clothes, jewelry, and drinking in bars. Nor will this include tickets to gala performances, golf, etc. I usually spend less than what I actually budgetted, if I budget this way.

    USD 500 should cover the duration for food and other stuff.

    eating cost around 5 -10 dolls decent. souvenirs cost around 2-10 bucks medium… expensive shirt could soar up to 25 dolls. drinking is quite expensive in clubs $10, club entry fees 10-15 greens. watersports around 15-25 currency. drugs, xtc $15, mushroom 2-3 dollars.
    1 USD = +/- 9600 rupiah (they receive only rupiah mostly or they gonna cheat you for 1 usd = Rp 9000)

    Hi,
    Things in Bali can be quite cheap, especially if you do bargain for your Transport, Tours, Souvenirs, Watersports & etc..
    However for your food & drinks, its all depends the location.. Local beer & Cocktails @ pubs like Paddy’s, its about Rp50,000 (US$5).. Food @ cafes found in Poppies I & II, its about Rp150,000 (US$15)..

    about $600US is more than enough you live like king for 5 days.
