I was just in Boli 2 weeks ago, I got their cheap by making a deal with the airport by being a courier. (It was like a $90 flight)
The only downside is that doing so is selling your luggage space, (carry on and checking), I just bought a couple shirts and shorts down there for really cheap.
I’ve taken the trip a couple of times. Best bet is while in Bangkok, find a small mom and pop tourist company. Stay away from Expedia or SideStep, whatever. I found a place on lower Sukhumvit Rd, close to Nana Entertainment Complex, it was in the Nana Hotel (Roach Hotel). I got a flight with Singapore Airlines for not even 200 bucks. If I were to have got the ticket beforehand, through SA or online, would have easily been a thousand. Guess it has something to do with being in that part of the world. The flight had a connection in Singapore, but was only 2 hours or so. A lot of people will tell you the same, just get to Bangkok, I assume you already have that planned?, and go to a small tourist company. I’ve done it a few times and it seems a bit unreliable, but I’m telling you, it’s the way to do it.
